For most people, our CD-ROMs run without a hitch. However, we do occasionally have an issue arise. Below are a some problems that have come up in the past.

Frequently asked questions:

1. When I put the CD in my computer, nothing happens.

All of our CDs feature AutoRun (AutoStart on the Macintosh platform) capabilities, but on some computers this feature is disabled.

To start the presentation on a Windows computer, open 'My Computer' on the desktop. Open your CD drive from the My Computer window and then double-click the icon for the presentation. Often it is named 'Start.exe' or has a name specific to the CD. Look for instructions on the CDs packaging (if applicable) or a Readme file on the CD for more detailed information.

On Macintosh computers, the procedure is similar. Open the CD icon on your desktop. Look for a program named Start or something specific to the title of the CD and double-click to run it. Look for instructions on the CDs packaging (if applicable) or a Readme file on the CD for more detailed information.

2. I have copied all the files from a CD to my laptop's hard drive, now when I start the presentation, I get an error.
Several of our CDs include a program extension that is not compatible with directory names having spaces in them. For instance 'C:\My Media Folder' would not be valid, but 'C:\MyMediaFolder' is OK. Simply move the files into a directory path that does not contain any spaces.
