R. Latimer, III
For the past eleven years Mr. Latimer
has headed Explore Horizons, Incorporated,
a privately-held exploration and
production company based in Dallas,
Texas. He is also a partner in Blackhill
Partners, a Dallas-based financial
advisory firm serving clients in
the energy and technology businesses.
Previously, Mr. Latimer was co-head
of the regional office of what is
now The Prudential Capital Group
in Dallas, Texas, which handled
energy and other financing for The
Prudential Insurance Company. He
was a director of Prize Energy and
its audit committee chairman from
October 2000 until its acquisition
by Magnum Hunter Resources, Inc.
in March 2002, and he continued
as a director of Magnum Hunter until
October 2004. Pursuant to the plan
of reorganization for Enron Corp.
approved by the United States Bankruptcy
Court for the Southern District
of New York, Mr. Latimer has been
appointed as a director of Enron
Corp., which appointment will be
effective when the plan of reorganization
is declared effective. In addition,
Mr. Latimer’s prior experience
includes senior executive positions
with several private energy companies,
consulting with the firm of McKinsey
& Co., service as an officer
in the United States Army Signal
Corps, and several corporate directorships.
Mr. Latimer received a B.A. in Economics
from Yale University in 1968 and
an M.B.A. from Harvard University
in 1970. He has received the Chartered
Financial Analyst and Certified
Public Accountant designations.
