Great boots

by Nathan Justice — May 1, 2018 3:22:50 PM MDT
I'm a fly fishermen for many years. Recently I had to have back sugery. This left me with a nasty condition that has caused severe nerve damage. I have neuropathy in my feet and radiculopathy in my leg caused by the nerve damage. Finding a wading boot that I could hike and fish in comfortably was next to impossible. Until I found the SoftScience Terrafin boots. I can now fish in rocky terrain with out my feet and leg and lower back bothering me as bad as before. I highly recommend these boots to anyone looking for that ultimate comfortable boot. The SoftScience Terrafin boot is just that.

Perfect for wet wading and float-tube

The most comfortable and light wading shoes ever. Just got back from New zealand where I wore those for 12 days. If you like wet wading, if you need to hike, those shoes are made for you.

Super comfortable but with use durability is a question.

These wading boots are the bees knees when it comes to comfort. And when walking on slick rocks it’s like having suction cups on your feet. But I’ve owned them about a month an a half now and have fished with them about a dozen or so times. And I’m starting to get really concerned with the longevity of these boots. I’m not easy on my gear and I don’t believe you should have to be. But with that being said the front of the sole is staring to separate on the front toe area and some of the canvas is starting to separate. If you don’t do a lot of walking when fishing and aren’t hard on your gear then these shoes are an amazing option. They are the most comfortable wading boot I’ve ever worn. If you aren’t easy on your gear these boots are great but just know they won’t last you as long a heavier, less comfy shoe.

Great wading shoe

I normally wear a 12 4E and got a pair of these in 13 to wear with my stocking foot waders and they are fantastic. I liked the fit and feel so much that I bought a pair of neoprene socks to wear with them when I wet wade in the summer. These are much cheaper than most wading boots and are great for my wide and flat feet.

Great lightweight comfort...

Wore for first time yesterday. Purchased one size larger for wearing with sockfoot waders. Far lighter than the lightest wading boot I had before this. The insole is super comfortable. My friends made fun of the blue digi-cam, but I didn't care because I knew my boots were much more comfortable than theirs. The extreme light weight and shock absorbing insole made for very comfortable hiking. Also had good instream traction.

Ridiculous Comfort

Just got my pair today. They are sized to wear without stocking foot waders so I sized up 1 (size 9 shoe so bought size 10). They fit perfect with stocking foot waders on. I haven't been in water with them yet but they feel unbelievable on my feet. There is enough room for comfort. I can't wait to take them in the water. If the grip is good these will be the best kept secret in wading gear that I know of.

Unreal wading shoe

by "Saltyflyguy" — July 11, 2017 7:25:50 PM MDT
Received my black Terrafins today and they are by far the best wading boots I've ever owned. Extremely well made, very light and comfortable. Fit is exactly as described on your site and I wear a size 12 extra wide shoe. Will wear them salt water fly fishing and around town.

Oyster Beds, Flats Fishing Boot

by Capt. Rick Baker — May 3, 2017 11:24:33 AM MDT
Look for me walking over jagged rocks, oyster beds, slippery decks and wet surfaces. Great lightweight water boot that feels as close to barefoot as you can get. They weigh close to nothing. Thanks for the improved quick lacing on this boot - much easier on the old back and hips!!! I have the digi camo in blue and just ordered sage green. I like 'em so much I need a pair to wear when I'm not fishing. Order the Drift for my dad, loves em too. Nice work.

Fin Boots Rock

by Nico — April 18, 2017 3:21:57 PM MDT
Bought a black pair, size 11, to wear fishing the flats. Boots have a great, strong, good-quality zipper and these dry fast. I hose them down and they're dry in about an hour on a warm day. The orange foot pad insole is great - very comfortable and feels like walking on sand. No jabs from sharp rocks or shells. Very good flats fishing boot!

Great for other activities.

I wear mine when I ride the Harley. Great airflow on a hot day.
