The long and short of it .. best flip flop I've ever worn. My foot stays locked in position on the softest last I've ever worn.

great shoes - consider your size carefully

by Sherrill — March 12, 2018 4:40:05 PM MDT
I highly recommend these flip flops, but my suggestion is that you order one full size larger if you like your flip flops to be a little bigger than your feet. Here’s why I say this. I got to the Softsicence website via a click bait ad on the New York Times. I really like flip flops and after looking around found a pair I decided to purchase – oops, none in stock in my recommended size. I called Colorado and spoke to a very nice guy who directed me to another almost identical flip flop – the Skiff Canvas- and it is on sale. Can’t resist a sale, so, I ordered the size recommended – a 7 - in two styles, black with black canvas strap and khaki with khaki canvas strap (on sale – 2 for the price of one full price). Then I got some notion that a size 6 would not be that different than a 7 and ordered two discontinued Skiff colors in a size 6, (again 2 for the price of one full price). I got my shoes and I really do like them. Here is my report on sizing. My foot size is generally a 6.5 or 7 (or a size 4 or 5 in little boys). The fit on the Skiff size 6 on my foot is just a tiny bit short, and I have convinced myself that I can live with my heel hanging off a tiny bit. So I have the size 6 in a brown/pink and orange/gray. The size 7 is the exact size of my bare foot, and they fit fine. But if you like a little bit extra on the top and bottom of your flip flops, then another size up would be ideal. The straps are plenty comfortable so I don’t think the strap would be an issue in a bigger size. All in all, I am happy but would be ecstatic, I expect, if I had four pairs in a size 8. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Think about sizing and the long summer with a beer on the deck.

Love 'em!

AMAZING FLIP FLOPS

by Marty — April 16, 2017 4:45:28 PM MDT
After having a complete hip replacement, I ordered the Fin 2.0 and absolutely loved them.... I needed some flip flops just as comfortable and cushy, yet supportive for my hip, back and knee problems......so I decided to try the The Skiff. TOTALLY AMAZING! Now 5 weeks out from hip replacement, I'm standing in front of my boat fishing 5-6 hours at a time with NO hip pain, NO back pain, and NO knee pain. I haven't been able to do that for many, many years! These Soft Science shoes and flip flops make fishing a "Pure Joy" for me again!

Thanks Soft Science!

Better than better

If my feet could smile, they would be grinning from ear to ear! The most comfortable flip flop ever...and I've tried them all. With a meniscus issue and a
Achilles problem, I have to be careful what I wear...and these are the best!

WUNNERFUL, WUNNERFUL.

by Teepee — June 23, 2016 9:05:14 AM MDT
I'm a pretty and chubby chick. 66 years young, thought how can a flip flop support me? If it's that soft, it will just 'squish' and not give support. Well, I took a chance. Best 'chance' I've taken in along time. It doesn't even hurt between the toes. Feel safe walking with the 'ruffer' type bottom. These flip flops are so WORTH IT!!!!!!

Sizing

by Kcinkc — April 1, 2016 6:38:55 PM MDT
I just bought a pair of skiffs in a size 10 because I normally buy 9.5 shoes. I got them today and am a little disappointed in them. The width is fine but the strap and toe part don't fit right. My arch is high so my toe strap doesn't go all the down between my toes sof the shoend doesn't feel like it's all the way on. This makes my foot farther back than it should be , my heel hanging over. They feel like comfy shoes, they are nicely made . I don't think buying a bigger pair would matter.

Another note on sizing

by Happy Feet — January 11, 2016 6:47:28 AM MST
Just received my Skiff's and wanted to add a note regarding sizing since a few of the below comments were important factors in my purchase process. I took advantage of the comfort guarantee offered by soft science knowing that if the sandals didn't fit i could return them. Well, they fit and so i didn't have to exchange them but thats not the point of my post. The point is that I am a half size and so I sized up which was the ay to go. Just size up if in doubt! These are my second pair of soft science and I found success in sizing up.

black shoes rarely have the same size as other colors. A shoe salesperson told me the black dye caused this

Slight variance in same size

by Just an old soul — December 9, 2015 7:58:09 PM MST
I bought a size 11 in brown/blue combo. I liked them so much I bought another pair in size 11 in black/black combo. Oddly, the black/black is not as wide or long as the other pair. My heel nearly falls off the back. It's very slight and minor and probably due to the manufacturing process. My feet are very wide so every 1/16th of an inch in width matters. I am still going to keep them, but thought I would mention the brown/blue combo seems to have a wider base for the footbed. I confirmed it by putting them back to back, sole to sole to compare.

The most comfortable sandals I have ever owned!!!

Stranded on Vacation

by Joe — August 27, 2015 9:27:42 AM MDT
My wife's regular sandals broke while on vacation and we were left searching for a replacement pair. We ventured into a local shoe store and she started trying on the SoftScience Skiffs. She was pleasantly surprised by their comfort and look. She wore them while we pounded the pavement of Chicago and was very impressed. By the way, our 2 year old daughter approves too. She said "pretty mommy shoes."

Feels like walking on clouds! I spend 12 hours a day on my feet as a nurse. These shoes are a little slice of heaven for these tired feet. Thanks Soft Science for making the most comfortable flip flops in the world without sparing a cute style and amazing support. In love!

Most comfortable flip-flop I've ever owned!

by Fitness trainer — July 23, 2015 4:55:51 AM MDT
I love my Skiffs! I put them on first thing in the morning and I wear them all day long. I tell people I feel like i'm walking on a Tempur-Pedic mattress. I was diagnosed with a Morton's Neuroma two years ago. It was painful to walk around barefoot, especially on the hardwood floors in my house. Thanks to the Skiff, I am able to walk around pain-free!
